Hello all,was wondering how many in the forum take blood congealing tablets,,,,,type,,,,,,,,make,,,,,,,dosage,do you take them regularly,or only when bleeding starts.
And the BIG one, were you advised to have blood tests for the effect some of that type of medication can have on the liver and sight with prolonged use.

Thank you

I know this is an old thread but I thought I'd post in it since it has no anwers, I've had to take transemic acid now and again to help with bleeds. I had to take 2 tablets 3 times a day. I think that was the highest doseage.

This forum is so... slow to respond (to put it politely) that there's no such thing as a necropost here. You can post on really old stuff, or really new stuff! Just post something!

(So I have something to read at work...)

Indeed - this isn't the most active of places, but we have no rules against replying to old threads, so feel free to do so :)

Exactly.....very boring here .....we all must make more of an effort to chat more.....please be careful of this medication if you happen to also have "Leiden Factor V" a blood clotting disorder (usually an 8 times clotting risk). I am unfortunate enough to have HHT AND Leiden Factor V.......just great - a bleeder AND a clotter!!!!!  Hence, transemic acid deadly for me.......just ask your haem Dr to check for this first...a lot of people have it but don't know until its included in their normal blood tests!
