My name's Terry & this is my second attempt at writing something -I don't know what happened to my first message, but it disappeared into cyberspace!!
I have HHT, as do my three children, but didn't know much about it until I looked on the BBC website (to read about nosebleeds) over four years ago, & was directed to the UK hht site. I printed all that off, took it to my GP, & asked him to refer me to the Hammersmith Hospital, to which he readily agreed.
My chief problem is nosebleeds; I had embolization of arteries leading to my nose at the Hammersmith - that stopped the bleeding....but....only for 11 days! (Then it was back to normal!)
My next plan is laser treatment with Prof Valerie Lund at the Royal National Throat Nose & Ear Hospital, but I'm not too hopeful!!
Anybody else had these procedures & found them useful? (or not?)
