Little RED SPOTS under my eyelids!
« on: September 26, 2008, 02:54:56 PM »
Hi everyone!

I just thought that I would share with you, that after a recent trip to the opticion, for a routine eye checkup, they have found those darling little red spots under my upper and lower eyelids!

Has anyone else got any experience of telangatasia showing up there that they would like to share?

hi tracey, yes i have those on my eyelids i found out i had them when my eye began to bleed, i looked like something out of 'thriller' went straight to the hospital where i was told it was a telegectasia.  important not to let eyes get dried out., gave me drops and cream.  only bled the once, but scared me, anyway that was a couple of years ago so not really been a problem for me since (not like my nose). x

Hi Di  :)

Thank you for that.  It is a little worrying, more the way that people around me will react if they do decide to bleed.

I am going into hospital again in the morning, but that is for my gums, tongue, pallet, throat and nose .... oh, not forgetting my fingers.  Just a touch up and an MOT as I call it.

Hi everyone
Had my brain avm treated monday 29th they actually found two and did them both at the same time they start by screwing a frame to your head and you have an MIR scan and Angiogram to identify the location of the avm in relation to the frame they then zap them with a machine called a gamma knife. I visit the consultant in 6 months then in 2 years time they do an MIR scan hopefully to find no trace if that is so then finished if they find a trace then angiogram and a decision on  what to do after that, heres hoping
regards    Phil

Well, after all this time of opening this post ... it has now happened!  Yesterday ... I ended up crying blood.  How scary.  I have been monitored by the hospital for some years now, but I phone them today, and although I have eye drops that I used regularly, they have asked me to go in tomorrow morning.

They oftern turn my eyelids inside out to have a look, but what can they do?  Has anyone had any laser or cautery in this place?
